Emanuele Bompan is a prize-winning environmental journalist with a PhD in geography. He is a senior expert on circular economy, climate change politics, climate finance, water policies and energy markets. He often gives speeches and remarks in international festival and exhibitions.
He is editor-in-chief of the economic magazine Renewable Matter and collaborates with several newspapers, including IlSole24Ore, La Repubblica, National Geographic.
He has written What is the Circular Economy (Ed Ambiente 2021) Atlante geopolitico dell’acqua (Hoepli, 2019), Water Grabbing (Emi, 2018) and Il mondo dopo Parigi (Edizioni Ambiente, 2016).
He won the European Journalism Center IDR Grant four times, the Google Digital News Initiative, the Middlebury Environmental Journalism Fellowship, and in 2015 he was awarded the title of Earth Defender Journalist by the Italian Ministry of the Environment. He has produced news reports in 78countries, both as a journalist and as an analyst.
